Published in Diderot’sEncyclopedie, Paris, [1770-79]. 18 ¾” x 15 An interesting configuration of five maps numbered I-V displaying a progression of California maps from 1604 – 1767 including Neron Pecci Olen in 1604, Sanson in 1656, de L’isle in 1700, Kino in 1705, Societe des Jesuits in 1767. A great display of early California cartography in fresh condition with large margin.

A fine gobal view with smaller views of the planetary system and orbits in both lower corners. 15 ¼” x 11”. Printed and colored by Siena Presso Pazzini Carli. Circa 1760’s. Perfect for framing and display and in excellent condition.

REGNI DANIAE … c. 1730. Made by Io. Baptista Hommano. A fine map displaying theThe Kingdom of Denmark, and a portion of southern Sweden and Baltic Sea islands. Nice decorative cartouche in upper right with figures and a coat-of-arms.23 ½” x 20”. Very Fine.

[RUSSIAN EMPIRE HAND COLORED MAP] “A New and Accurate Map of the Whole Russian Empire as contain’d both in Europe and Asia” 18 ½” x 16 ½”. The map was produced from “authentic Journals, Surveys, and most approved Modern Maps, and Regulated by Astronomical Observations by: Eman: Bowen.” Bowen was a prolific map maker well-known for his development of maps for much of the known world. In excellent condition.

A very colorerful map of Russia by the great Homann. The geography includes Scandinavia, Kamtchatka and parts of China. A decorative title cartouche with figures, one holding a globe. Sailing ship is noted at the top left. A good dark impression with some very minor age-toning along the center fold. The overall condiiton is very good, measures approximately 23 ¼” x 20”.
