BLAIR, JOHN
Joining with Ames and others in getting the charter of the Union Pacific Railroad, Blair personally built the first one hundred miles west from Omaha, having been responsible for the adoption of that route. Blair died with an estimated fortune of $70,000,000, making him one of the wealthiest individuals of his time.

Vignette of an oval bust portrait of a gentleman at bottom left, at upper left a train steaming by the beautiful wilderness and at upper right cows watering in a river while a train passes on the bridge above. A 25 cent adhesive revenue stamp attached at top right. The stock is signed by John I. Blair as President. Pen and punch cancellations affecting the signature.
