BUTLER, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BUTLER (1795-1858). An American statesman, he served in the Jackson and Van Buren administrations as Secretary of War and Attorney General. He was one of the few people ever to hold two Cabinet positions simultaneously.
