JESUP, MORRIS K.
Jesup began his career in the railroad supplies business and eventually became involved with numerous railroads including the Chicago & Alton, The Southern and The Atlantic Coast Line. The bulk of his fortune was created over a twenty year banking career. His later years were spent on many public causes and philanthropic endeavors.

Large vignette across the entire bottom of the certificate depicting a train entering a small railroad station. Issued to and signed on verso by Morris K. Jesup (1830-1908). Railroad builder; Banker. Glue residue at left from stub, Fine. Pen and cut cancelled, the latter lightly affecting Jesup's signature, all paper intact.
