MACKAY, CLARENCE H.
Clarence H. MacKay (1874 - 1938). The son of telecommunications pioneer John MacKay, Clarence inherited his father's wealth and continued his cable-laying ventures. In 1928, he merged his company with the International Telephone and Telegraph Company, creating a communications system that covered North and South America, Europe, and the Far East.
