PALEY, WILLIAM S.
WILLIAM S. PALEY (1901-1990). Paley was the founder of the Columbia Broadcasting System. At age 28, he took a conglomeration of 22 radio stations and built it into a communications empire over the next six decades. He immediately saw the potential of television and pursued its implementation.
