About Us

Scott J. Winslow began work in the collectibles field in the late 1970's as a cataloguer and researcher for a prominent mail auction house specializing in Americana. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business & Economics in 1983, he founded his own firm, Scott J. Winslow Associates, and has been a full time, professional dealer in autographs and historical documents since 1985.

Acknowledged as one of this nation's leading authorities in business history, Mr. Winslow conducts numerous auctions of historical documents and Americana with a special emphasis on business and financial history, and has produced more than one hundred large catalogs over the course of his career. Additionally, Mr. Winslow travels extensively in the United States as well as Europe so that he can keep abreast of his field's ever changing marketplace. As a result of his many years of experience both here and abroad, Mr. Winslow has accumulated an extensive database of information relating to the fields of his expertise.  The ever expanding Winslow reference library contains virtually every important price reference guide, as well as related material necessary for the accurate evaluation of business history archives.
Mr. Winslow's experience and expertise has attracted many prominent clients; when the New York Stock Exchange needed to have their archives appraised and evaluated in 2005, they turned to Scott Winslow to provide the expertise they needed. Mr. Winslow has also worked with the Pabst family to evaluate and appraise the personal papers of Frederick Pabst, the prominent brewer, as well as with countless private collectors seeking to donate their holdings to a variety of institutions.

Mr. Winslow is the current Executive Vice-President of the Professional Autograph Dealers Association [PADA], and the Chairman of the association's Ethics Committee. In addition, he has formerly served as PADA's President and Treasurer. Scott is also a member of numerous other associations and professional trade organizations.
