CHAUNCEY DEPEW (1834-1928). Depew was a prominent figure in American business and public life for almost 70 years. He served two terms in the Senate and but refused to serve in many other important posts when they were offered. A lawyer, Depew worked extensively for the Vanderbilt railroad.

Orange on white paper with a large lower vignette of a mountain river; there are clipper ships and steamboats on the water. Litho. Punch cancelled, including two through Depew's signature, but it is in very fine condition.
